EXECUTIVE BOARD

Katie Zeng is a senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a double major in Marketing and Graphic Design. As the President of CYC, she is constantly looking for ways to connect small businesses with burgeoning student talent, and empower the local community. As a designer grounded in marketing and a marketer grounded in design, she is a firm believer in the power of interdisciplinary problem-solving and diversity in thought. Although she has gone through a number of major major changes (psychology, international business, etc), her end goal has remained the same: to start a branding agency for nonprofits and social ventures. Ankit Sheth
Vice President of Development

Ankit is a change maker and visionary. He is a rising sophomore majoring in finance and minoring in human development. While his time at Maryland has been short, it has been anything but ordinary. During his expression renaissance last semester he learned to paint, analyze new music and tango. Over the course of his freshman summer, he worked with Deloitte Consultants through an internship. If you are ever looking for him be sure to check Taco Bell, the art-sociology library, or the third floor of Van Munching. Ankit is very excited to be working with CYC as a treasurer after serving as a business analyst!

Brian Freeman

Brian Freeman is looking to make a lasting impact on the UMD chapter of CYC through his role as Vice President of Development. As a junior studying Mechanical Engineering, this will be Brian's second semester with CYC having previously led a team of Business Analysts in consulting for restaurant-tech startup, Spotluck. Brian's vision for CYC is for this chapter to become a leader in educational development of its members, professional development through engagement with accomplished alumni, and access to a diverse and very real set of experiences and skills necessary to succeed in the consulting world. 

Fiona is a sophomore studying Economics and Public Health Science. Outside of CYC, she is also on the executive board for Public Health Without Borders and is involved with Model United Nations and Delta Epsilon Mu professional fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys going for long runs and watching hockey. This past summer Fiona interned at Hatch Technologies, a D.C. tech startup.

Helen Liu

Helen Liu is a senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a dual degree in Information Systems and Marketing, with a minor in Business Analytics. During her time at the University, Helen has been involved with a number of activities both on and off campus. She has served as the Vice President of Marketing for CYC for the past two years. In addition, Helen also serves as the Public Relations and Outreach Officer for the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and the President of TEDxUMD. In her spare time, Helen enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing tennis. Over the summer, Helen interned at Grant Thornton in its Global Public Sector Advisory practice.

Manav Parikh

Manav Parikh is a junior at the University of Maryland pursuing a major in Bioengineering and a minor in Engineering Leadership. Before taking on the position of Treasurer, he was a business analyst for a semester, consulting for a local interior design firm and boutique, Green Owl Design. In addition to being involved with CYC, Manav was a founding member of Design for America, another on-campus organization. For the past two summers, Manav interned at RoosterBio, as part of the Operations team. In his free time, Manav enjoys reading, playing sports, and going to the gym. 

Justin Breitenbach is a sophomore at the University of Maryland pursuing a degree in Finance. He is a member of multiple special programs at the Smith School of Business, including Sophomore Wall Street Fellows and the Business Honors Program. This is Justin’s first semester serving as VP of Internal Affairs for CYC. Prior to accepting a leadership position Justin was a business analyst for one semester, consulting for Celebrezze Law, an immigration law firm based in Ohio. Last summer Justin interned with Mid Atlantic Contracting in a sales and marketing position. In his free time, he enjoys intramural sports, video games, and going to the gym.

Peter Wang is a junior studying Computer Engineering. He is a part of multiple academic groups on campus, including the QUEST program and Terrapin Hackers. This is Peter's second semester serving as the VP of Internal Affairs for CYC. Before transitioning into a leadership role, he was a business analyst in CYC for two semesters, consulting for a DC startup called Yaatra Ventures and an on campus organization called START. This past summer, Peter interned as a software engineer at DISH Technologies in Denver, Colorado. In his free time, Peter likes to swim, enjoy memes, travel, and solve brain teasers.
